The staff at PetMed is happy to be working in the Veterinary field. They have chosen a profession that has a great compassion for the well being of pets. They have numerous years of experience working with pets. Many times the clients don’t get to meet the team behind the scene. Take a look. We are so happy you did.

  • Mark Girone, DVM

    Dr. Girone is a 1986 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. He founded PetMed in 1989 and his professional interest includes oncology and endoscopy. Dr. Girone grew up in Murfreesboro and is married with 2 daughters. They share their home with one dog and three cats. On his off time he enjoys college sports, sailing and skiing.

  • Courtney Merrow, DVM

    Dr. Merrow has been with PetMed since May, 2009. She grew up in Atlanta and graduated from the University of Georgia of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Her interest is in dentistry. She and her husband share their home with a dog “Stella” and a cat “George”. In her spare time she loves to make jewelry.

  • Kristen Coles, DVM

    Dr. Coles has been with PetMed since May 2009. She grew up in Alabama and graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. She shares her home with a cat “Sophia” and 3 dogs “Bella”, “Lyle” and “Roscoe”. In her spare time she enjoys running, riding horses and spending time with family and friends.

  • Holly Valentine, DVM

    Dr. Valentine has been with PetMed since Jan. 2011. She is a 1984 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. She and her husband share their home with 2 dogs and 3 cats. In her spare time she enjoys spending time outdoors, participating in many activities including swimming, hiking, and wildlife rehabilitation. In addition, she values community involvement and the connections that she has made with the families with whom she has worked with for so many years.

  • Mary Hester, Hospital Administrator

    Mary is a 1995 graduate form Purdue University at the Veterinary Management Institute. She has been employed with PetMed since June, 2004 and enjoys every aspect of her position. A firm believer in knowing people can be or do anything they want and an encourager for them to reach their dreams. She is from Tennessee and she and her husband reside in the country. They share their home with 3 dogs “Riggs”, “Girl” and “Taylor Mae” and 1 cat “Moto Kitty”. They have a daughter who also worked at PetMed for numerous years, Amaran… In her spare time she enjoys visiting with the elderly, yoga and painting.

  • Andree Girone, Bookkeeper

    Andree has been with PetMed as long as her husband, Dr. Girone. In her spare time she loves designing, gardening and spending time with her family. She has a real passion for creating beauty and does a wonderful job in every thing she does. She also helps at McKay’s Mill Animal Hospital doing numerous jobs from Bookkeeping to payroll and ordering drugs. She is a great mother, wife and team player.

  • Courtney Cunningham, Office Manager

    Courtney has been with PetMed since Jan. 2010. She attended MedVance Institute for Medical Billing and Coding. She plans on continuing her education to get a Business degree and wants to make Veterinary Hospital Management a career. She absolutely loves working at PetMed and when not working loves to spend time with the furry friends at home.

  • Nancy French, Grooming Manager

    Nancy has been with PetMed since March of 1991. She is the Grooming Manager and can take any pet from “rags to riches”. She is married and has 2 grown children and 2 grandsons. She shares their home with many pets including a couple of horses. She loves all animals and especially loves being out in nature. She was born and raised in Tennessee and has a heart of gold.

  • Jennifer Sorey, Pet Stylist

    Jennifer has been a Pet Stylist at PetMed since April, 2001. She is married and has 2 daughters. She has the sweetest dog who loves to go everywhere with her. In her spare time she loves to ride motorcycles. She loves music and dancing.

  • Quin Christian, LVMT

    Quin has been with PetMed since May, 2001. She is a graduate from Moorehead State University in 1994. She is married and they share their home with two felines named “K-Swiss” and “No Shoes”. In her spare time she loves to spend time with her husband. She also is very active in continuing education in her field.

  • Laura Sigler, LVMT

    Laura has been with PetMed since Oct., 2001. She is a graduate from Columbia State Community College with an Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology. Laura shares her home with 4 dogs and in her spare time loves competing in agility and flyball. All her pets carry numerous titles in obedience and canine sports. She loves going on trips with her dogs and meeting new people.

  • Amy Jackson, LVMT

    Amy has been with PetMed since March, 2007. She is a graduate of Columbia State Community College with an Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology. She spends her free time with her husband and a sweet dog named “Suzi,” both of whom she loves very much.

  • Lesli Capito, Technician Assistant

    Lesli has been with PetMed since Oct. 2010. She is currently enrolled in the Penn Foster Program to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She is married and shares her home with 2 Papillons names “Cricket” and “Chewy”. She is from Nashville Tennessee and received her BA in American Studies from the University of Tennessee in 2003.

  • Jessica MacGregor, Technician Assistant

    Jessica has been with PetMed since April, 2008. She is currently enrolled in the Penn Foster Program to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She is married and has a son and a daughter, In her spare time she loves to spend time with her family and go camping. She has numerous cats. They just know where she lives.

  • Amanda Styer, Floater

    Amanda has been with PetMed since Nov., 2009. She can work numerous position’s at PetMed. A true team player. She loves working to improve the lives of pets and their parents. She is from Murfreesboro and graduated from MTSU with a BS in Community and Public Health Education. She shares her home with her husband, daughter, and a small zoo including an Eclectus Parrot “Simon” (one beautiful bird).

  • Tiffany Fintel, Receptionist/Kennel Technician

    Tiffany joined the PetMed family in March 2011. Animals are her passion and she spends a lot of her time assisting pets in need and finding them forever homes. She is from Murfreesboro and studied Health Education at MTSU. In her free time she enjoys photography, road trips, and anything involving nature. “Dogs are not our whole world but they make our lives whole.”

  • Michelle England, Receptionist

    Michelle has been with PetMed since Nov., 2011. She has worked in the Veterinarian field for over 12 years and loves working with clients and their beloved pets. She and her husband have 2 children and share their home with 5 felines and 2 canines. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, scrapbooking and making jewerly.

  • Danielle Hammons, Tech. Assistant/Reception

    Danielle joined PetMed in July 2012. She recently moved here from Maryland, where she worked for a Veterinary Hospital for 24 years. Danielle has two, four-legged children “Miss Bettie & Wilma”. Since moving to Tennessee, she has enjoyed the scenery and country atmosphere. She spends her free time outdoors, boating, fishing, or just reading a book under a shady tree.

  • Amanda L. Stockholm, Receptionist

    Amanda has been with PetMed since July 2012. Evansville, IN is her hometown and she has been living in Nashville since September 2008. Amanda is a graduate of Ball State University. She shares her home with her husband and lab mix Lilly. In her spare time she enjoys traveling and spending time with family.

  • Kayla Jones, Reception

    Kayla has been with PetMed since May 2012. She is currently in Nursing School at MTSU and will graduate with her BSN in May 2013. She plans on going into pediatrics or newborn nursery. She loves her 2 dogs “Buddy” and “Penny”.

  • Shannon Prescott, Receptionist/Kennel Technician

    Shannon has been with PetMed since Aug. 2009. She graduated from Fortis Institute with an Associate of Science Degree in June 2012. She shares her home with a Boxer “Maverick” and a feline “Baby”.

  • Becky Evans, Kennel Tech/Receptionist

    Becky has been with the PetMed family since 2006. She spends most of her time in the kennel caring for all of the furry friends that are boarding. Becky also is busy with sewing projects, swing dancing, or playing with her adorable puppy “Perl” (who doesn’t realize she is not a puppy anymore).

  • Jessi Ford, Kennel Tech/Bather

    Jessi has been with PetMed since Jan., 2007. She loves taking care of the adorable pets that come in to stay at PetMed. Jessi enjoys going between the kennel and bathing area. In her spare time she enjoys reading, playing games on the Wii and playing with her cat “Leo”. Jessi graduated from Bethel University in May, 2011 with a Music Business degree. She loves music and hopes to be a part of the music world on day.

  • Tori Warrick, Kennel Tech/Bather

    Tori joined the PetMed family in June 2012. She is currently a Senior at Siegal High School and plans on attending MTSU next year. She has not decided which career route she wants to take, but she knows she wants to work with either children or animals. She has been playing softball since she was a toddler and has been appropriately nicknamed “Speedy” and “Ball Hog”.

  • J.C. Evans, Kennel Technician

    J.C. joined PetMed in May 2012. He is currently enrolled at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where he is studying Geography. He plans on having a career in tourism after graduation. J.C. shares an adorable puppy “Perl” with his sister Becky, who also works as a kennel technician.
