Dr. Girone is a 1986 graduate of the University Of Tennessee College Of Veterinary Medicine. He founded PetMed in 1989. His professional interests include oncology and endoscopy. Dr. Girone grew up in Murfreesboro and is married with 2 daughters. He and his wife share their home with one dog and three cats. On his off time he enjoys spending time with his family, college sports, running, and boating.
Dr. Merrow has been with PetMed since May of 2009. She grew up in Atlanta. She attended both undergraduate and veterinary school at the University of Georgia. Dr. Merrow has 2 dogs, Stella, the angel, and Alice, the troublemaker, as well as a cat named George. She lives with her husband and son in Nashville. She likes spending her free time with her family and friends, reading and watching SEC football. (Go Dawgs!)
Dr. Coles has been with PetMed since May of 2009. She grew up in Alabama and graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. She shares her home with a cat “Sophia” and 3 dogs “Bella”, “Lyle” and “Roscoe”. In her spare time she enjoys running, riding horses and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Moore has been with PetMed since August of 2013. She was born outside of Cleveland, OH, but has called Nashville “home” for most of her life. She received her B.S. in Animal Science from UT Knoxville and graduated from UT’s College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2013. She and her husband share their home with two cats, “Charlie” and “Hemi” – both of whom are too smart for their own good. When she’s not working or cat-proofing her house, she enjoys horseback riding, cooking, baking, eating, going to the gym (really more of a necessary evil), reading and gardening. She is excited to be starting her career with PetMed!
Cynthia joined us in July of 2013. A true military brat, she was born in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. She has spent equal amounts of time in Germany, Virginia, and Tennessee. Cynthia is a recent graduate from Middle Tennessee State University earning a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and a minor in Biology. She has had experience with private, corporate, military and emergency veterinary medicine. She has 15 years in the veterinary field, and if you ask her, she is quick to tell you how much she loves what she does. She has two cats, Maggie and Jake, but yearns for her next black lab, maybe even a French bulldog for fun. In her spare time she likes to be creative, read, and just enjoy the day with her fur babies.
Tiffany joined the PetMed family in March 2011. She is from Murfreesboro and studied Health Education at MTSU. She has owned a variety of pets as she grew up with a Mother who spent all of her time rehabilitating animals for The Nashville Zoo and Cumberland Science Museum. Since she was a little girl her love for animals has always been her drive in life, a drive that has also been passed down to her daughters. In her free time she is her daughter’s biggest cheerleader supporting her in her many softball tournaments and extra curricular activities.
Nancy has been with PetMed the longest, since March of 1991. She can take any pet from “rags to riches”. She is married and has 2 grown children, 2 grandsons, and a granddaughter. She and her husband share their home with many pets including a couple of horses. She loves all animals and especially being out in nature. She was born and raised in Tennessee and has a heart of gold.
Jennifer has been a Pet Stylist at PetMed since April, 2001. She is married and has 2 daughters. She has the sweetest dog who loves to go everywhere with her. In her spare time she loves to ride motorcycles. She loves music and dancing.
Quin has been with PetMed since May of 2001. She is a 1994 graduate from Moorehead State University. She is married and shares her home with two felines named “K-Swiss” and “No Shoes”. She loves to spend her spare time with her husband. She also is very active in continuing her education in the veterinary field.
Laura has been with PetMed since Oct of 2001. She is a graduate from Columbia State Community College with an Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology. Laura shares her home with 4 dogs and in her spare time loves competing in agility and flyball. All her pets carry numerous titles in obedience and canine sports. She loves going on trips with her dogs and meeting new people.
Tammy has been with PetMed since December 2012. She is a graduate of Columbia State Community College with an Associates of Science in Veterinary technology. Tammy shares her home with her dogs, cats, guinea pig and her husband. In her free time she enjoys reading and spending time with family.
Lesli has been with PetMed since October 2010. She graduated in October 2013 from Penn Foster and obtained an Associates Degree of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. She is married and shares her home with 2 Papillons names “Cricket” and “Chewy”. She is from Nashville and in 2003 she received her Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from the University of Tennessee.
Jessica has been with PetMed since April of 2008. She is currently enrolled in the Penn Foster Program to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She is married and has a son and daughter. She loves to spend her spare time with her family and go camping. She currently shares her home with five adorable rescued cats
Amanda has been with PetMed since November 2009. Always a true team player, she works numerous positions at PetMed. Her passion and drive comes from the love of working to improve the lives of pets and their parents. She is from Murfreesboro and is also a graduate from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science in Community and Public Health Education. She shares her home with her husband, daughter, and a small zoo including an Eclectus Parrot named “Simon”.
Courtney has been with PetMed since Jan. 2010. She attended MedVance Institute for Medical Billing and Coding. She plans on continuing her education to get a Business degree and wants to make Veterinary Hospital Management a career. She absolutely loves working at PetMed and when not working loves to spend time with the furry friends at home.
Karissa joined the Petmed family in July of 2013. In her spare time she enjoys jogging, playing the piano, and spending time with her family. She has two puppies (that aren’t really puppies at all anymore) and she loves working with pets.
Christianna joined PetMed in September 2013. She recently moved here from East Lansing, Michigan and is currently working towards earning her Veterinarian Technician Certification. Being an advocate for animal rescues and adoptions, she is the proud owner of Lois Lane, an adopted Beagle, and Anderson Cooper, an ex-race horse she has been rehabilitating.
Sony, as we all call her, joined PetMed in September 2013. She enjoys spending time with her 3 furry friends “Fat Mac”, “Tipp Monster”, and “Stanky Leggs”. In her spare time she enjoys baking desserts, traveling, and spending time with loved ones. She attended Vol State and majored in Sociology. Sony has always had a passion for animals since as long as she can remember.
Collin started at PetMed in January of 2013. Collin is our resident “Jack of All Trades.” He moved to Nashville in 2008 to work and volunteer in the education department for the Nashville zoo. He owns 2 cats (Duchess and Giselle) and 2 dogs (Lion and Bears). He has a love for all animals and is passionate about caring for them. He loves the outdoors and staying active. In his free time he enjoys hiking, rock climbing, cycling, and kayaking.
Jessie has been with PetMed since January 2007. She loves taking care of the adorable pets that come in to stay at PetMed. In her spare time she enjoys reading, playing games on the Wii and playing with her cats “Leo” and “Amabelle”. Jessi graduated from Bethel University in May, 2011 with a Music Business degree. She loves music and hopes to be a part of the music world one day.
Tori joined the PetMed family in June 2012. She recently graduated from Siegel High School and plans on attending MTSU next year. She has not decided which career route she wants to take, but she knows she wants to work with either children or animals. She has been playing softball since she was a toddler and has been appropriately nicknamed “Speedy” and “Ball Hog”.
Christi joined the Pet Med team in September of 2013. She has been working with animals for the past five years, and she does volunteer work for the East C.A.N., working to find fosters and forever homes for dogs in the East Nashville area. She has three dogs, four cats, a frog and a fish. She spends her free time with her boyfriend and four children. She enjoys playing with all of our furry friends and spending time together as a family. She attended Nashville State Community College for Social Science. She is very passionate about working with animals because she feels that humans are responsible for providing animals with the voices they do not have.
Amy graduated from Columbia State Community College in 2007 with an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology. She started working at Petmed during a clinical internship; she fell in love with us and us with her. She has one very special dog named “Suzi”. Amy volunteered several summers to help out with “Snip and Tip”, a low cost spay and neuter for feral cats. In her spare time she enjoys baking, spending time with her family, and hula hooping.
